What it does

Monitor a device where there is no power at all. The logger spends almost all of its life asleep, waking on a schedule to read your meter and send the reading.

Typical sites: flowmeters inside pump houses · borewells · canal and irrigation meters · remote tanks.

Why the device count is small

A battery unit is for one-off remote assets, not a full bus. Every device it reads costs battery life, so the count is kept deliberately small — one to four devices over RS-485.

Why there is no Ethernet

A wired connection cannot be duty-cycled the way a battery product needs, so it is not offered here. Cellular only, with SMS alerts and text-message configuration — which also means an alert can reach you when the data link itself is down.

Setup

Press the panel button to wake it, then configure everything over USB with the desktop app. Field tweaks and alerts go by SMS.

Heritage

This is the programmable successor to fixed-function flowmeter loggers already in the field. Those units reached single-digit microamp sleep current; this one aims to do the same while being configurable rather than fixed.
